AHMAD ABDELHAMID
I reside right in the middle of the border between an artist and a designer, my aim is to visually show you what that combination looks like through telling your story.
hOW DID I GET HERE?
LET’S TAKE A TRIP DOWN AHMAD’S LANE
ARCHITECTURE IS FUN!
I've always been intrigued by design, after high school, I wanted to become an architect due to my fascination with the idea of designing someone's favourite space.
DESIGNING NATURE?
While applying to different architecture programs, I stumbled upon the Landscape Architecture program at the University of Guelph. The idea of sustainable design and designing with nature ignited a new passion. It perfectly combined my love for design as well as my love for nature.
WAIT, WHAT IS UX DESIGN?
In the last year of my university journey studying Landscape Architecture, I stumbled upon a UX Design course, I enrolled to expand my knowledge on the different aspects of design. I fell in love with the idea of being a designer, a problem solver, and a storyteller all at once. It combined three of my strongest skills.
THIS IS MY PURPOSE
While Landscape Architecture was a great introduction to design and my love for it, it did not fulfill my desire to solve problems and tell stories. Post-university, I decided to do a certificate for UX Design, I dedicated my time, energy, and efforts towards it. It felt organic, it made sense that UX is what I'm meant to be doing as the hours felt like seconds and the projects felt like chapters in a much bigger story for me to tell through my designs. Every course, project, certificate I did led me here. This is my purpose.
